SOAS University of London is proud to announce the CHASE AHRC Studentship to domestic and international students that wish to pursue their research studies in the UK.
There are 56 studentships open for PhD applicants who will receive tuition fees, stipend to cover living expenses and access to further funds for skills training and research.

Eligibility
- Eligible Countries: UK and international students can both apply.
- Eligible Course or Subjects: Research study programmes taught at SOAS can be applied for.
- Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
- Applicants must have a master’s degree from a recognized university.
- Have pre-settled status (meeting residency requirements), or
- Have indefinite leave to remain or enter
How to Apply
- How to Apply: To apply for this award, you should take admission through the university portal. Applications for the studentship must be filed separately via the direct website of CHASE.
- Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
- Certificate copy of academic transcripts
- Personal statement
- Research proposal
- Letter of recommendation
- Admission Requirements: Students must submit all necessary documents demanded at the time of application. SAT or ACT scores can also be submitted.
- Language Requirement: The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
- IELTS Academic – 6.5
- PTE Academic – 65
- TOEFL iBT – 100
- IELCA Academic – 35
Benefits
The scholarship winners will receive tuition fees and stipend for up to 3 years for the academic session 2022/2023.
