Key information
Please note that students in receipt of any of the above awards at UG level would not be able to concurrently hold the Postgraduate Progression Award.
Eligibility criteria
Students in receipt of the Postgraduate Opportunity Award cannot concurrently hold the Postgraduate Progression Award.
They must be beginning a new full-time or part-time postgraduate taught master’s programme (including MRes programmes) in academic year 2023/24. ii) They must be an alumnus or alumna of the University of Liverpool having completed an undergraduate degree on the Liverpool campus no earlier than session 2021/22. iii) They must have been in receipt of one of the University’s Widening Access Awards during their period of undergraduate studies at the University of Liverpool.
Full-time taught postgraduate students will receive the award for one year. For part-time students the award will be paid at a rate pro-rata to the ratio of their programme fee to the full-time programme fee.
Students will not be eligible for the Postgraduate Opportunity Bursary in any year when they are receiving external sponsorship (e.g. payment of programme fees by a registered company or other external sponsor) of value equal to or greater than the value of the award. The value of the award will refer to the pro-rata award where the student is registered on a part-time basis.
