Taught Master’s Scholarships

Our Taught Master’s Scholarships are now open for applications for 2023/24 (closing date – June 30th, 2023).

Applications for these scholarships are made in conjunction with your application to your chosen postgraduate programme.

  • Maynooth University is offering Taught Masters scholarships in the amount of €2000 to students across all disciplines in recognition of academic excellence.
  • All applicants must have achieved a minimum 2.1 honours undergraduate degree.
  • Open to both EU and Non-EU applicants.
  • Graduates or current students of PhD or Master’s programmes are not eligible to apply. Prospective students interested in research programmes should apply instead for the Maynooth University John and Pat Hume Doctoral Research Awards.
  • A further €2000 scholarship will be awarded to applicants ordinarily resident in Ireland and registered with their Higher Education Institution Access Office and meet the eligibilty requirement.

Eligibility

Eligible Countries: EU, Non-EU, Maynooth and non-Maynooth graduates are eligible to apply for these scholarships. (“Taught Master Scholarships at Maynooth University in Ireland, 2022”)
Eligible Course or Subjects: Scholarships are awarded in all departments to support Masters’ study at Maynooth University. (“Taught Master Scholarships at Maynooth University in Ireland, 2022”)
Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must have a minimum 2.1 honours undergraduate degree in order to be considered for a Taught Master’s Scholarship. Applicants who have been in receipt of a student grant for the final year of their undergraduate studies should submit evidence outlining their grant award as this will be taken into consideration where two candidates are equally ranked on final year undergraduate grades.
